Welcome to Humble Bee Quilt Works!!

Humble Bee specializes in teaching, designing, and pattern-writing for quilters.

Teaching brings particular joy at Humble Bee. Twenty years of leading students to those “aha!” moments has produced a reputation for adaptive teaching and for insight to the unique needs of different students. Whether in classes, lectures, workshops or retreats, the emphasis is on providing a valuable, enjoyable experience resulting in not just a beautiful end result, but also a renewed passion for the art of quilting.

With more than 20 published patterns, Humble Bee designs accommodate all tastes and all skill levels. Projects are developed with the quilter in mind – great designs with no frustration. Through pattern composition and technique, the designs are detail-oriented and multifaceted, allowing for beautiful, complex texture and visual impact. Color and fabric selection allow tremendous versatility for any personal style. Inspiration comes from everywhere, with creativity as the underlying theme.

Whether you are an individual, a guild, a quilt shop or a wholesaler, there is something for you here.

Pattern-writing is a Humble Bee specialty.

Providing well-written, easy to understand quilt patterns -- always tested with “real people” for accuracy – is a promise. Each pattern includes complete, clearly written instructions with step-by-step diagrams and full color illustrations through the entire process – no “piece as pictured” shortcuts. Fabric amounts and cutting instructions include multiple size options, and all pressing details are shown.
